Prior to getting married, many couples complain that having a videographer or photographer is too expensive or its the last thing they want to plan for. After their wedding, the one thing brides complain to me about and regret the most is that they did not invest into a proper wedding videographer and photographer.
A few months ago, a fellow photographer posted an article about how photography and videography for your wedding is an investment. Unfortunately, I did not bookmark this article and can’t seem to find it but there is an important point that I took from this article which I talk about in my consultations with the bride and groom.
Other then being wedding related, what do all these things have in common?
- Wedding cake
- Reception hall
- Alcohol and reception food
- Hair and Make up
- Wedding dress
They all last 1 day. They of course cost a large amount of money but once that day is over, its all gone.
The only things at your wedding that will last years, decades(if not forever) and the only things that will increase in value in time are your wedding videos and photos.
Ok, yes there’s also the wedding dress, but when are you ever going to wear that again?
On that note, here’s a video of a 102 year old woman seeing herself for the first time in video dancing at glamorous events when she was in her 20’s. Enjoy 🙂
